The Scholars' Academy is a Public Charter School educating students in grades 7-12. The school has been in operation since 1996. Founded by Mr. Steve McClenning, the school's original location was in Ehrenberg, Arizona. In 2002, a brand new campus was built in Quartzsite, Arizona.

The school was originally created because of the need for a local public high school. The closest high school was over  a 1.5 hour bus ride away.  Because of this, the students from the area that attended the high school had an extremely high drop- out rate.

The Scholars Academy began as a 1 room school house with one teacher /principal.  Today it has over 100 students, a preschool program, a student run radio station, highly competitive athletic department, and an incredible academic program. 

The most important accomplishment is a high graduation rate and every student that graduates from The Scholars' Academy is accepted into a post-secondary education institution.

The Scholars' Academy staff are dedicated to the community we serve.  We will continue to make history through each successful graduating class.
